Growing up several years ago, having a TV at home was an unspoken mandatory thing. Saturdays when there was no school, we all watched wrestling and the action movie that followed. The next Monday in school, we all gathered before the 'Assembly' time and discussed it. If you had no TV at home you better not showed up as you would be lost in our noisy and animated conversations. So was our world back then; a world of TV primarily for the cartoons,

A TV at home was more than just for the kids. The older siblings were interested in the music and soap operas, Daddies were more concerned with the evening news and several times fights over what should be watched at what time had to be settled. Fast forward several years into the future things have changed. The TV at home is barely touched; no one has any interests in nearing the TV or peering to see what it will offer because the internet has taken everyone captive.

The TV stations do not have to go extinct now because their 'fans' are on the decline and their relevance dwindling. The world still needs the TV programs, they need the movies and the news and those shows that had captivated them for years now the only challenge is that there is need for the platform to be improved. If the attention of today's world is the internet, the TV stations must locate themselves there too only that now, mode of operations would be different.

Adapting the Internet for TV production would be beneficial to the TV stations when they comprehend the limitless window is gives them. TV production on the web is more like creating an infinite platform for a wider range of audience limited neither by countries or signal reach. There are TV channels whose signals that cannot be received in distant lands but with the internet, anyone anywhere has access to what the TV stations are doing. It is also an opportunity to 'nick' it over the competition.

If you desire to know the reaction of the viewers to each program then you must go beyond reaching them through the traditional TVs to the 'new' TVs on the web. The ancient TVs will not give an opportunity for the viewers to air their views, like or dislike the presentations, documentaries or the shows in the manner that the internet gives it. In terms of cost effectiveness, this mode of TV presentation is also cheaper especially when considering the number of audience reached.

24 hour cable news is still very much in vogue today but has accompanied the viewers into their world; their Pcs, mobile phones and digital devices. One can wake up in the middle of the night and find out what happened in a place or at a time. There are footage videos, pictures, related interviews and relevant information. The viewers too today can be numbered, they can be located and an idea of what their opinions are can be sampled too; truly it's a new day.
