Boy oh boy! Where do we even begin? This city is almost amazing in its depth of sights and attractions. From the historical to the art-wise. If you've thought about it, this city probably offer it, and some more!

Since you're probably doing it anyway, I'm not even going to mention the Alamo. Oh wait, I just did, oops. Well, let me recommend that you at least substitute it in your time frame. Most people start with the Alamo, but I suggest starting with the River Walk. In fact, if you've booked a good hotel, it is more than likely already situated at the river walk. The great bit about this location that it's a great central spot that's in the middle between all the other main attractions and sights, and it happens to very close to the Alamo.

From there you would obviously first go to the Alamo, which is not too far. Next, you would probably want to experience La Villita, the city's oldest neighborhood, basically a little art village full of special gift shops. Next you would probably want to check out Ripley's Believe It Or Not and the Plaza Wax Museum (they're adjacent).

For those of the artistic soul, free exhibitions are available at the Southwest School of Art & Craft/ Further you must want to give the San Antonio Museum a stroll. Or even better yet, if you're in the likes of folks like Picasso, Gauguin and Van Gogh, it pays to visit McNay art museum, where folks such as those happen to reside. Or at least, the works that succeed them.

Those with families should want to experience the six flags fiesta, probably the best in the country. They should also look into the aquarium, which is quite amazing, and then the single biggest zoo in the USA, the San Antonio zoo.

At the end, if you've still got time and and energy to explore, you should consider the botanical gardens, the Texas air museum, all the different street festivals (when in season). A very special mention also goes out to Morgan's wonderland, the world's first ultra-accessible family fun park. It is especially designed for children in wheelchair and those with special needs.
